Robbie Fowler: “ Salah deserves and repeat the same praise as Messi & Ronaldo”
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler backed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah to compete with Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi for the prestigious awards. Robbie Fowler believes Mohamed Salah will continue to play until his late thirties, similar to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Fowler admitted that the Egyptian will not stay at Anfield for a longer period. He’ll definitely play past 36, the age Messi is now, and also Ronaldo, who is 38. And if he continues to win things with Liverpool and break all their ¬scoring records, then he’ll become an even greater legend and hero in this part of the world. So I think the telephone numbers will still be there, and the chance to continue his charitable and valuable community and equality work. It’s going to be a helluva few days if you’re a Liverpool fan like me… so brace yourself for something ¬mind-boggling this week, Reds! My advice though, would be to stay at Anfield longer. Mo can help Liverpool get back into the Champions League, he can help them win more titles and more ¬trophies – and they will still be waiting in Saudi Arabia. He continued, "He is a real star after Messi and Ronaldo. He is the most famous footballer in the world and this is the level he has reached." And he concluded: “It is puzzling the money that Liverpool refused, but frankly I would not be surprised if the offer was doubled before the end of this week. I am thinking about the coup that Mohamed Salah will cause when he moves to the Saudi League to be their ambassador.”
