Pioli: “We focus on our squad and the next opponent AS Roma”

AC Milan‘s head coach, Stefano Pioli, spoke to the media in today’s press conference ahead of facing Roma FC. Stefano Pioli stressed the difficulty of facing AS Roma, which is scheduled on Friday in the third round of the Italian Football League competition at the Olympic Stadium. Pioli claimed that he is not interested in all the speculation surrounding transfer deadline day, instead preferring to focus on his current AC Milan squad and the next opponents Roma. Pioli said in the match's press conference, "Every match is important, and we are Milan. We always play to win. The way we play will not change against Roma, even though the opponent is difficult, but we adapt to the opponents and play proactive football." He added, "We will play against a team that scored one point in the first two rounds, but they have a great coach, and in terms of offensive and defensive data, they were the best in the two matches, but they only got one point." The Roma coach continued his remarks, saying, "Lukaku is next to Dybala? I do not know how Mourinho's choices will be, but Rome as a whole is a strong team and a great competitor. Lukaku's presence does not scare us, but rather motivates us," explaining, "On paper Lukaku is a strong deal for Rome, but we will see on the field."
Milan tops the Italian league standings table with 6 points after winning the first two rounds, while Roma comes in thirteenth place with only one point.
