Ramos set to snub condition in favor of Galatasaray's move

Spanish press reports revealed that veteran defender Sergio Ramos will join the Turkish club Galatasaray during the current summer Mercato in a free deal after the end of his contract with his former Paris Saint-Germain. The newspaper "AS" stated that Ramos' joining the Galatasaray team is linked to the latter's qualification to the group stage of the European Champions League, where the latter will face the Norwegian Molde team in the play-off round. Ramos himself is said to be keen on the move, with former PSG teammate Mauro Icardi, who completed a permanent transfer to Galatasaray this summer after spending 2022-23 on loan in Istanbul, having done his bit to convince the defender. The newspaper pointed out that the 38-year-old defender has an agreement with the Turkish league champion to join him this summer, but on the condition that the team qualify for the Champions League group stage.
