Haaland leads the shortlist of nominees for the PFA award

The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) announced the names of the nominees for the Premier League Young Player of the Year award. Haaland has been recognized for his incredible first campaign in English football, which yielded an astonishing 52 goals across all competitions. De Bruyne was an ever-present figure in Pep Guardiola’s side last season after appearing 49 times across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and registering 31 assists and Stones was a defensive mainstay in a solid City backline. Saka has also been nominated for the men's PFA Young Player of the Year award, with Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli, Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey, and the Brighton duo of Evan Ferguson and Moises Caicedo - the latter who has now moved to Chelsea - completing the list. The award is presented by the Professional Footballers' Association, and votes are made by players, not fans or sports pundits.
