Barcelona remains confident about Bernardo Silva offer despite Man City contract extension rumors

Barcelona FC adheres to contracting with the Portuguese and Manchester City star Bernardo Silva during the current summer transfer window. Bernardo Silva is optimistic about Barcelona sending an offer to sign him, despite Manchester City encouraging the Portuguese to extend his contract.  The Spain newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Barcelona is working around the clock on sealing Bernardo Silva deal, adding that Barca officials are realistic and assume that Silva's arrival is very complicated, but they also admit that the process has not been abandoned. The newspaper added that the Catalan officials want to expedite any option to try to convince the English club because the player has so far shown a willingness to play in the Blaugrana shirt. The newspaper pointed out that, however, the English Premier League starts tomorrow and Silva wants to be clear about his future in addition to Manchester City putting the renewal offer on the table. The newspaper explained that in Barcelona,  they still hope that they will be able to provide Xavi the player he so desperately wants. The 29-year-old Bernardo Silva’s contract with Manchester City ends in the summer of 2025, and its market value reaches 80 million euros.
