Liverpool Refuses to release Mohamed Salah to play for Egypt in their squad in Japan

The Officials of the Tripartite Committee that runs the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headed by Ahmed Megahed has sent a letter to Liverpool Football Club in UK in order to release Salah as one of two over-age players in their squad for the games in Japan next month.
“Corner Sport” learned that Liverpool has already the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) today that presence of Mohamed Salah in Tokyo Olympics is rejected due to the desire to prepare the Egyptian star for the new season, which kick-off on August 14.
Egypt U23 national team head coach, Shawky Gharib, is looking for alternatives in the coming period as it seems difficult to obtain services of some Egyptian players overseas. Gharibindicated that he looks to replace Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, the Turkish Galatasaray striker Mustafa Mohamed, and Mohamed El-Shennawy, goalkeeper of the first football team in Al-Ahly club
