Germany joins Italy to prevent Euro final from being held in London

The German government has warned against holding the Euro 2020 final in the British capital, London, due to the outbreak of a new strain of the emerging corona virus, "Delta" variant.
UEFA has set the famous Wembley Stadium in the English capital, London, for the 2020 final, but fears of the rapid Spread of Delta Coronavirus Variant in the United Kingdom have become a threat to the organization of competitions in London, which will host the last 4 teams in the tournament, starting from the semi-final round.
Germany joined Italy , where the Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said on Monday he was in favour of holding the final of the European soccer championships in Rome rather than in London, because of Britain's rising coronavirus infections.
"Yes ... I will try to stop the final being held in a country where infections are rising quickly," Draghi said at a news conference in Berlin with German chancellor Angela Merkel, when asked if he was in favour of switching the final to Rome.
For its part, the German government has repeatedly reminded these days of the explicit travel advice for German travelers in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, if not necessary, which does not receive tourist flights or fans to attend the Euro matches.
