Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez the newcomer who joined Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli from Manchester City made his first appearance with the teammates during the friendly match against Qatari Al-Shamal FC. Mahrez participated in the Saudi Al-Ahly squad for the first time after joining the team from Manchester City, England, with a 4-year contract to last until the next 2027. The match was won by Al-Ahly 5-0. The friendly match also witnessed the appearance of French winger Alain Saint-Maximin for the first time with the Saudi team, after he joined him during the current summer transfer period from Newcastle United, England. The Al-Ahly is taking part in various friendly games in their pre-season of the Saudi Roshan League, which the club will be facing its counterpart Al-Hazm on August 11th.
