Mbappé refuses to meet Al-Hilal officials for talks on transfer
The British newspaper "Daily Mail" claimed that the agents of the French and PSG star Kylian Mbappé have refused to meet with representatives of Saudi Arabian team Al Hilal, who have made a world-record bid for the France striker, sources confirmed to ESPN. The Paris Saint-Germain player wouldn't meet with Al Hilal officials, who were in the French capital to sign Brazilian forward Malcom. Al-Hilal made a record €300 million ($332 million) bid for Mbappé on Monday but sources reported that the World Cup winner is not interested in joining the Riyadh-based club. Al-Hilal made an astronomical offer to obtain the signature of Mbappe, as he is preparing to give up 259 million pounds sterling to complete the deal with him, and the top scorer, in turn, will receive huge salaries that exceed the 600 million pound mark. Mbappe was not satisfied with the initial refusal of the Saudi Al-Hilal offer, despite Paris Saint-Germain’s approval of it. Rather, the “Daily Mail” started talking about the 24-year-old’s refusal to meet between his agents and the Hilal delegation which is currently present in Paris. The delegation of Al-Hilal Saudi club led by President Fahd bin Nafel had landed in the French capital during the past few days, to settle the deal for Malcom, who came from St. Petersburg, Russia, and to launch negotiations with Marco Verratti, Mbappe's colleague in Paris Saint-Germain. The delegation, headed by Ben Nafel, hoped that he would be able to meet Mbappe and his business agents, with the aim of negotiating with him and persuading him to move to King Fahd International Stadium, but the English newspaper confirmed that Mbappe's agents refused to meet with the delegation of Al Hilal Saudi Club.
