Verratti is a new blockbuster for Saudi Al-Hilal
Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Marco Verratti is set to become the latest big-name player to move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal closing in on his signature. The Saudi Pro League club is nearing an agreement with PSG to sign the Italy international for a 3-year contract during the current summer Mercato, according to Fabrizio Romano. Verratti’s name is in the rumor mill this summer, so a move isn’t surprising. However, seeing him going to Saudi Arabia amid links to Liverpool and Atlético de Madrid is a shocker. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday that the Italian is on the verge of joining Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. Romano adds that the deal is said to be in its advanced stages. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Al-Hilal plans to sign Verratti from PSG a contract for the next 3 years, after advanced negotiations between the two parties. He pointed out that Verratti, along with the Saudi leader, would receive an amount of 30 million euros annually. It is worth noting that the contract of the 30-year-old Italian player expires in the summer of 2026. During the current summer Mercato, Al Hilal succeeded in including the quartet, Senegalese Kalidou Coulibaly, Serbian Milinkovic Savic, Portuguese Robin Neves, and finally Brazilian Malcolm.
