Closing in Dembele reaches agreement with the Saudi club Al Ettifaq

Press reports revealed that the Saudi Al Ettifaq has reached an agreement in principle to sign French striker Moussa Dembélé as a free agent during the current summer transfer market. Former Celtic striker, Moussa Dembele is close to joining Saudi Arabian Pro League outfit, Al Ettifaq. Moussa Dembele's contract with Lyon of France expired this summer, and he rejected the offer to renew his contract. The French "Foot Mercato" network stated that negotiations with the French striker are going well, and the signing of contracts between the two parties has become a matter of time. The former Rangers boss was announced as the new head coach of Pro League side Al-Ettifaq earlier this month and has been linked with a move for the ex-Celtic talisman. Gerrard is looking to beef up his attacking options in the Middle East and has identified Dembele as a priority target. The French network indicated that the Saudi club, led by coach Steven Gerrard, succeeded in beating Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt, who were also interested in signing Dembele.
