Ibrahimović strongly Criticizes Mbappé's Decision with PSG – why?
The recently retired Swedish star, Zlatan Ibrahimović, criticized French and PSG star Kylian Mbappe after he insisted on leaving for free from the Princes Park stadium. Zlatan Ibrahimović believes Kylian Mbappé made the wrong decision in re-signing with Paris Saint-Germain after a long pursuit by Real Madrid. "When a player becomes strong and can easily earn money, his parents become lawyers, agents, and coaches, and this is a big problem," Ibrahimovic told France's Canal Plus. He added, "The family shifts from one situation to another. In those moments, the player loses self-discipline and identity. Today, with this new generation, the family, the father, the mother, everyone who wants, they think they have become stars." He continued: “They talk in the newspapers, but who you think you are, should shut up. It is up to your son to work on discipline. Mbappe has put himself in a position where he is more important than the club, but will never be greater than Paris Saint-Germain.” The French newspaper "Le Parisien" reported that negotiations between PSG and Mbappe's lawyer had begun for his departure, as club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi asked Kylian Mbappe to start listening to the offers submitted to him. Mbappe has played 260 matches for Paris Saint-Germain in various tournaments since the summer of 2018, scoring 212 goals and winning 4 championships.
