Man City agrees to a deal to sign a Leipzig defender Gvardiol

Manchester City has agreed to sign the German RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, in a huge deal during the current summer transfer market. Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal is now all but done after the two parties settled on an as-yet-undisclosed transfer fee for the center-back. The two clubs had been locked in negotiations for a number of weeks, although things had always been progressing slowly. The 21-year-old has already agreed on terms with City, who may have to pay around €100 million given Gvardiol’s contract runs until 2027. The report indicated that City had earlier reached an agreement with the Croatian defender regarding the personal clauses in his contract. Gvardiol underwent the first part of the medical examinations. Manchester City signed Croatian Mateo Kovacic during the current summer Mercato from Chelsea.
