Messi: 'Excited to start training and playing with my team-mates soon'

Argentine star Lionel Messi has given an emotional speech to his Inter Miami fan base, thanking David Beckham for bringing him to the club after walking out as a Major League Soccer player for the first time. Messi said during a presentation conference in the early hours of Monday morning:'I am very happy to have chosen this city with my family, to have chosen this project. I have no doubt that we are going to have a good time. Thank you all very much for this day.' 'I'm happy to be here in Miami, for me it’s a blessing to be part of Inter Miami and I want to thank Jorge, Jose, and David for making it possible.  'I’m so excited to start training and playing with my teammates and see you soon.' Messi's journey with football ended after his contract with PSG expired at the end of last month.
Messi signed a two-year contract with Inter Miami, which expires in June 2025, for an annual salary that is the highest in the history of the NBA, amounting to about $ 60 million. Messi will start his career with Inter Miami when he hosts Cruz Azul, Mexico, in the CONCACAF League Cup, which includes the American League clubs and the Mexican League next Saturday.
