Al-Ahly Saudi fans 'nervous' about Man City Twitter message!

Hours after news spread that Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia had reached a final agreement to sign Algerian star Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City, the latter surprised his Saudi counterpart with a controversial message. Manchester City published, through its official Arabic-language account on Twitter; a picture of Mahrez attached it to a brief comment, “the Arab Magician, Mahrez with us.”  The tweet sparked controversy, as some considered it a sign that the Algerian star would stay with Manchester City and not leave for Al-Ahly. The Saudi newspaper, Al-Riyadh, had reported that Al-Ahly had reached an agreement with Mahrez would who would undergo a medical examination during the next few hours, to ensure his safety before the contract was formally completed and the deal announced.  The last period witnessed prolonged negotiations in order to settle Riyad Mahrez's deal and join the Al-Ahly club and play in the Roshen League. Mahrez has a contract with Manchester City until 2025, but the Algerian international may consider leaving in light of his lack of appearance in Spanish coach Pep Guardiola’s squad.
