Qatar Stars League 2021-2022 Kicks-off Next September

Speaking to the next interview program, Mr. Ahmed Khalil Abbasi, the executive director of competitions and football development in Qatar Stars League spell out the last QSL season 2020-2021, saying that preparations are taking place in full swing for the new season 2021-2022, together with the QNB Stars League championship.
In his interview, in which he answered all about the frequently sports questions, Abbasi explained that: “generally speaking, I think last season we did quite well despite the challenges we faced, the most important of which was dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

He continued: There is a defect in the process of selecting the appropriate foreign players and coaches to succeed in our league. It was noted that the contracting process takes place with an unrealistic financial value and a doubling of the actual value according to the market value of the player or coach, as well as the lack of a clear professional technical strategy and mechanism to explore the appropriate players and coaches for our tournaments. for example in the last 3 seasons, about 150 foreign professional players and 35 coaches have changed their clubs, which is really huge numbers.”
As for the next season, he indicated: It Qatar Stars League Kicks-off Next September, and there are many scheduled stops of matches due to the participation of the foreign team. The calendar for the next season will be announced soon after the completion of the entitlements for the teams, and in general, club training will start from the first of next July 2021 in the framework of preparations for the new season.
He added:” All the clubs have the right to establish external camps, provided that the precautionary measures and restrictions imposed by the emerging Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic are followed.”
Regarding the wrap-up of the next season, Ahmed Khalil Abbasi said: The end of the league and HH the Emir’s Cup for the next season 2021-2022 will be at the beginning of April 2022. After this date, team’s players will be discharged from all local or foreign entitlements with their clubs in order to participate in the special program prepared for them for the 2022 World Cup. Clubs have been informed that a significant change.”
