Galtier leaves PSG ahead of Luis Enrique's appointment

French club Paris Saint-Germain announced on Wednesday the departure of Christophe Galtier has left his role as head coach after one year in charge. PSG announced Galtier’s departure saying they had “decided” with the Frenchman to terminate his contract.
French club Paris Saint-Germain announced today, Wednesday, the departure of Christophe Galtier, from his position as technical director, after only one season he spent with the team. Galtier has left his role as head coach of Paris Saint-Germain after one year in charge. Luis Enrique is set to be appointed later today to replace him. PSG announced Galtier’s departure on Wednesday, saying they had “decided” with the Frenchman to terminate his contract. A statement added: “The club would like to pay tribute to his professionalism and commitment, which helped the Rouge et Bleu win a historic eleventh French Championship title and a Trophee des Champions. “The entire Paris Saint-Germain team would like to thank Christophe Galtier, as well as his assistants Thierry Oleksiak and Joao Sacramento, for their professionalism and commitment throughout the season, and wish them all the best for the rest of their careers.”
