Neymar was fined 3 million euros for an environmental permit

Press reports revealed that the Brazilian star Neymar da Silva has been fined $3.3 million, (about 3 million euros) due to building in violation. Neymar has been fined for building an artificial lake in his mansion in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro without an environmental permit, announced authorities on Monday. The Brazilian newspaper "Globo Sport" reported that Neymar was fined for environmental violations in the construction of an artificial lake in the player’s mansion palace located on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, without an environmental permit. The Mangaratiba city council imposed four fines for “environmental violations, said in a statement. Neymar has 20 days to appeal the sanction, the amount of which was initially set at five million reais, or nearly one million dollars.
Neymar, 31, is currently recovering from surgery on his right ankle, which he underwent in March in Doha. The striker hasn’t played since February and doubts remain over whether he will stay at PSG.
