Haaland ends the season ahead of Mbappe as the top scorer of Europe’s Big 5

The Norwegian star Erling Haaland ends a perfect 2022/23 season on top of all other goalscorers in Europe. Manchester City striker Haaland was crowned top scorer in the 5 major leagues during the 2022-23 season with 56 goals. The Norwegian strongman scored his 55th and 56th goals against Cyprus to beat Mbappe’s mark of 54 goals for club and country this season, reached after the Frenchman also scored during the international break against Gibraltar and Greece.  Haaland has already won the European Golden Boot for the 2022/23 season after scoring a remarkable 36 goals in 35 matches in his debut season in England, smashing the record for the most goals in a Premier League season in the process.  Haaland became the youngest player in the five major leagues to finish the season and is the season's top scorer since the phenomenon Ronaldo in 1997.  During his first season with City, the Norwegian star succeeded in controlling all the individual and collective awards, after he succeeded in crowning the team with the historic treble.
