The Spanish Sevilla extended their lead at the top of the most Europa League titles list following the Andalusian triumph in the 2022/23 final at the expense of Italian counterpart, Roma by a penalty shootout 4-1, after they tied 1-1 on Wednesday at Puskas Arena in Budapest.  Seville won the European League title for the seventh time in its history, reinforcing its lead in the list of the most championship winners in history, in the years: 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020, and 2023.  Seville won seven major European titles, each of which comes in the UEFA Cup to come sixth in the list of most crowned major European titles behind: Real Madrid (16), Barcelona (12), Milan (9), and Liverpool (9). And Bayern Munich (8) titles.
