PSG set sight on Arsenal captain Odegaard

Paris Saint-Germain is considering making a move for Arsenal captain and midfielder the Norwegian Martin Odegaard after an impressive season, according to the “Sky” network. Odegaard who has scored 15 goals and created eight assists this season has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. The Arsenal captain’s outstanding performances have been noticed by PSG, who are pondering a surprise transfer for the 24-year-old. The French giants are set to lose Messi and possibly Neymar at the end of the season and are currently looking to get a midfielder as a replacement. According to reports from Daily Mail, PSG has been linked with many players in recent months and the latest of them all is Arsenal’s skipper Martin Odegaard. The report added that the management of the French champion is seeking to compensate for the expected departure of Argentine star Lionel Messi, at the end of the current season, by contracting with the Arsenal star. Odegaard had joined Arsenal, in the summer of 2021, from Real Madrid, in a deal worth €40m. The 24-year-old Norwegian had a great season with Arsenal, contributing to 23 goals in 45 matches, scoring 15 goals and providing 5 assists.
