The Spanish Federation dismisses Getafe's complaint against Real Madrid

The Spanish Football Federation rejected the complaint filed by Getafe against its counterpart Real Madrid, the background accusing the latter of committing an administrative error, during the confrontation between the two teams in the 34th round of the Spanish League.
The Spanish outfit launched a complaint to the RFEF Competition Commission last week following confusion over substitution. During the 84th minute of the game, Carlo Ancelotti wanted to replace Marco Asensio with Alvaro Odriozola. However, their complaint has been dismissed by RFEF, which suggests the substitution had no bearing on ‘improper alignment’ as Asensio had never left the field of play. He was still on the pitch when Camavinga was taken off. The newspaper “AS” stated that the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) considered that the change made by Real Madrid was legal because Asensio had not left the field. The newspaper added that Getafe has the right to appeal the decision of the Competition Committee, within 10 days of the issuance of the decision.
