The Turkish Federation Condemns Disgusting Spitting Incident Against Egyptian Star Trezeguet 

The Turkish Football Association decided to refer Fenerbahçe player Samet Akaydin to the Disciplinary Committee because of the incident of spitting on Egyptian Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, which he committed during the two teams' match. Trabzonspor, a Turkish football club, has expressed its strong condemnation of the appalling incident involving Egyptian star Mahmoud Hassan, known as “Trezeguet,” during a match on Friday. The incident occurred during a highly anticipated match between Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor, two top teams in the Turkish League. While Trezeguet was celebrating a goal he scored, Fenerbahce player Samit Akaydin spat on him, sparking outrage and controversy. The spitting incident has caused widespread public outcry in Turkey, with the majority of people condemning Akaydin’s unjustified act. Trabzonspor released a statement on Saturday denouncing the incident and expressing their disgust. They strongly condemned the inhumane action against Trezeguet and called on all stakeholders, including the Turkish Football Federation and Fenerbahce Club, to take immediate action. A statement issued by the Turkish Football Association confirmed that the player's referral to the Disciplinary Committee comes in accordance with Article 41 of the Turkish Football Association's regulations.
Trezeguet starred during the Trabzonspor match, beating his counterpart Fatih Qara Customs 4-1 on Monday, and succeeded in scoring a brace. After the match, Trezeguet commented about Samit Akaydin, Fenerbahce player behavior, while he was prostrating and said: "I am very sad about what happened. I did not see the accident when it happened. In fact, I am lucky. It is a good thing that I did not see it."
