'I won't give up: Defiant Pogba breaks his silence on injury-plagued return to Juventus

French star Paul Pogba, a Juventus midfielder, sent a message to the Bianconeri fans, after the series of injuries that required him in his first season with the team after returning. And on the “Instagram” platform, Pogba said in a video: “It has been a complicated year with everything that is happening on and off the field, it was really difficult for me.” Pogba has revealed he 'won't give up' on Juventus after suffering another injury that will leave him sidelined for the remainder of the current campaign. The Frenchman's season was brought to a premature end during Juventus' recent 2-0 Serie A victory against Cremonese as he limped off with a low-grade thigh injury just 21 minutes into the match. The midfielder was making his first start in 13 months at the Allianz Stadium, however, will now have to wait until the beginning of pre-season for his next outing. Pogba appeared emotional in the immediate aftermath of his latest setback but has conveyed a message of defiance on Instagram where he explained his feelings on what has so far been a nightmare return to Italy. The 30-year-old World Cup winner gave a rare update to his €58.2 million followers on the social media platform, stating: 'Hello to everyone, I think this is the right time to express myself after a long period of silence. 'First of all, let me recap my season, which has been very, very complicated, with problems both on and off the field. As you know, it has been truly difficult for me and what happened was tough, above all mentally. 'I tried to take solace in what I love: playing football, and working on the pitch, but that was not possible because I had a lot of bad luck physically. Now all I can do is be patient, but already today, I feel better mentally,' he added. Juventus did not change its position on Paul Pogba, whose season recently ended due to injury, and the Bianconeri hopes that the Frenchman will play a major role with the team in the 2023-2024 season. Pogba is the highest earner at Allianz Stadium with a contract worth €8m per year, plus €2m in additions, so Juventus paid about €65,000 for every minute the Frenchman played during this period.
