Klopp Comments On Liverpool’s Chances Of Playing In The Champions League

Jürgen Klopp was delighted with the level of control his Liverpool side displayed in Monday night's 3-0 victory away at Leicester City in the Premier League at the end of the 36th round of the English Premier League. “The rest is not in our hands but we know we have to win all the games until the end of the season to have a chance [of qualifying for the Champions League]. Our job is to keep the pressure on. It's not likely, but if not then this is already better than we could have expected six, seven weeks ago.” Despite Liverpool claiming their seventh consecutive league victory, Klopp said in statements to the BBC: “I don’t think we’ll finish the season in the golden box, given the way Manchester United and Newcastle are playing. Both teams have great quality.” On the team's performance against Leicester, he said: “We had to figure out a little bit how we can build up the game for 15 minutes or so. I really like what we did after that. I really like what we did after that. Incredible goals. The second goal was great. It was a perfect game."
Liverpool ranks fifth. In the English Premier League standings table with 65 points.
