Pogba included in the Juventus squad after an absence of 390 days

French star Paul Pogba returned to the starting line-up for the first time in 390 days, the first time with Juventus since his return last summer, during the Cremonese match. Injuries have hit Paul Pogba hard in recent seasons and they struck again on Sunday evening as he was forced off after 24 minutes of the game with Cremonese. It was the France international’s first start in over a year, but he looks set for another spell on the sidelines after going down with what appeared to be a leg injury. Juventus face Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday. Pogba's last start with Manchester United came in the Premier League meeting with Liverpool on April 19, 2022, as the World Cup winner played only 10 minutes in that match before being forced off. Pogba plays his first match as a regular player in the Italian League since returning to Juve, and it is his first match in Calcio in 7 years, as his last match in the starting line-up was on May 14, 2016 (Juventus – Sampdoria 5-0), exactly 7 years ago. Juventus is in second place in the standings table with 66 points, two points behind Lazio third, while Cremonese ranks nineteenth with 24 points.
