Dzeko and Mkhitaryan put Nerazzurri on the brink of a Champions League final record

Edin Džeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored in the first 11 minutes to give Inter a two-goal lead in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against city rivals AC Milan. Edin Džeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan both scored in the first 11 minutes as Inter claimed a first-leg lead over city rivals Milan and took a significant step towards the first UEFA Champions League final in 13 years. Edin Dzeko and Mkhitaryan scored in the 7th and 11th minutes respectively, making them among the oldest players to score in the semi-finals of the prestigious European Championship. Edin Dzeko (37 years and 54 days) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (34 years and 109 days) scored a double, and Inter became the first team for which two players aged 34 years or over scored in a Champions League knockout match. The duo joined the list of the highest-scoring players, as Dzeko finished second, succeeding Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.
