Benzema creates 2 historical records after winning Copa del Rey

Frenchstar Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema became the most-decorated player in the club's history as he won the Copa del Rey (CDR) title on Saturday, succeeded in leading his team to achieve the King’s Cup title, at the expense of Osasuna 2-1 in the final match. Real Madrid won its 20th title in the King’s Cup of Spain, after defeating Osasuna on Saturday at “La Cartuja” stadium in Seville. Benzema joined Real Madrid from Lyon in 2009 for a then-French record fee of €35 million. He has since won 25 trophies with the club, including four La Liga, two Copa del Rey, and five Champions League titles. Benzema Lifts His 25th Trophy with Los Blancos, equal with Marcelo who Became the Most Successful Real Madrid Player. Benzema also became the most-decorated French player after winning CDR with a total of 33 career trophies. Winning 25 with Madrid, seven with the French club Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon), and one with the French National Team.
