Klopp: 'I don't know how many records Salah has broken, outrageous’!

The German Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sneered at the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, stressing that he did not know the numbers that he had broken because they were too many. “I know he’s proud of what he achieved today. The numbers are outrageous.” Liverpool moved to within a point of fourth-placed Manchester United as Mohamed Salah's 30th goal of the season sealed a 1-0 win over Brentford. Salah's 13th-minute opener from close-range brought him level with Steven Gerrard on 186 goals as Liverpool's joint fifth-highest goalscorer after a bright start from the hosts at Anfield, where the pre-match rendition of the national anthem was drowned out on the day of King Charles' coronation. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told reporters following the game, saying: "For us, it's clear, [Salah] is an all-time great, and the goal numbers are outrageous."m Klopp added: “When Salah sits in the analytical Sports studios after retiring, and after a few years he works as a matches match analyst, everyone will know how good he was, because sometimes people do not value legends enough, but for me I always appreciate him.” He continued: “Salah is one of the greatest players in the history of Liverpool. He is not just a world-class player; he has the desire to score goals.” The Reds move to 62 points, one less than fourth-place Manchester United and three fewer than Newcastle albeit having played two more matches than both, while Manchester City leads with 82 points.
