Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti issued a rallying cry to his players as he believes that his players must avoid the mistakes they made during Real Sociedad thrash 2-0, stating that they need to step up ahead of crucial matches against Osasuna and Manchester City over the next week. Real Madrid fell to defeat against Real Sociedad on Tuesday evening, as their preparations for Saturday’s Copa del Rey final did not get off to a great start. Ancelotti said in the press conference after the end of the match, saying: "We have to improve and avoid the mistakes we made. We want to win the King's Cup and reach the Champions League final." He added, "In the league our level is low; let's see if we can fix that at the end of the season in the King's Cup and the Champions League." He continued, "I tell the fans that we are going to compete, win and win titles. I am convinced that we will see a different team. We will have 100% focus and motivation. It is true that the motivation is not like light, but this team is completely special." He revealed the extent of his players' readiness for the Cup final, saying: "Everyone will return to the King's Cup final on Saturday. The only one who will not be present is Mendy."  He continued, "Modric trained today and has a good feeling. He will be there on Saturday.
