Frosinone officially returns to Serie A (Calcio)!

Frosinone became Monday night the first team to gain the Italian League promotion to Serie A this season. After Bari’s draw with Cittadella earlier in the day, the Ciociari needed to beat Reggina to secure their objective. Their won convincingly, building a commanding lead in the first half and ultimately prevailing 3-1. Frosinone will be one of the 20 top-flight clubs competing in the 2023/23 Serie A season, sealing their promotion from Serie B on Monday, May 1 with a 3-1 win at home to Reggina. Frosinone team advanced as the first to qualify 3 rounds prior the end of the second division of the Calcio. With three Matchdays left to play, Frosinone boast a 10-point gap over third-placed Bari after the Pugliese side had drawn earlier in the day. Frosinone leads the Italian second division standings with 71 points, 10 points ahead of the third-placed Bari team, 3 rounds before the end of the competition.   Fabio Grosso, the former Italian national team star and the current coach of Frosinone has led the team to succeed former coach Alessandro Nesta.
