Mbappe scored one of the strangest goals of the season against Lorient

Kylian Mbappe scores one of the strangest goals of the season for PSG after Lorient keeper rolls the ball out for him by accident. Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has scored one of the strangest goals of his career after being gifted the ball by Lorient's confused keeper. The Swiss goalkeeper controlled the ball and tried to start an attack by placing it in front of him, only to be snatched by Mbappe, who was walking next to the goalkeeper, and put it into the empty net. Paris Saint-Germain's poor second half of the season continued on Sunday as the Ligue 1 leaders slumped to a 3-1 defeat at home to mid-table Lorient after having Achraf Hakimi sent off in the first half. PSG lost for the ninth time in all competitions in 2023, maintained the lead with 75 points from 33 games.
Lorient took the lead when Romain Favre sent a cross pass into the penalty area, which Enzo Lo turned into the goal after a quarter of an hour from the start. Five minutes later, Hakimi received the second yellow card, after a collision with Darlene Yongwa, to complete the match with ten players. With the numerical superiority, Lorient regained the lead thanks to Le Vie and Favre, who made the second goal after he launched into the penalty area and sent a cross pass that changed its direction to reach Yongwa to shoot into the goal. Paris Saint-Germain fans booed their team, Sergio Ramos missed the chance to equalize from a corner kick carried out by Lionel Messi, while Danilo Pereira's header hit goalkeeper Fogo in the face. The referee ruled out Lorient's Bamba Diang goal for offside, but one minute later he strengthened his team's superiority, putting goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma alone away. Christophe Galtier, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, described the red card that defender Ashraf Hakimi received in the face of Lorient as stupid, indicating that he wanted his team to be more ambitious. Speaking of the red card that Hakimi received after rough tackles on Roman Pfeiffer and Darlene Yongwa, Galtier expressed his frustration with the performance of his player and the team in general. Christophe Galtier on Hakimi’s red card just 20 minutes in: “There was no reason for Achraf to be nervous & tense; he trained all week with the group. He was booked very quickly... and his second yellow card is stupid and penalizes the team.”   He added, "It is a great disappointment and we must show a quick reaction because we do not know how many points we will get. The second half of the season was very disappointing for us." He explained, "The Troyes match is coming. We have topped the standings since the start of the tournament, but we have to end it with victories. We must have the ambition to do more."
