Gennaro Gattuso leaves his role as manager of Napoli

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed the departure of head coach Gennaro Gattuso after the team missed out on Champions League qualification for the coming season.
Napoli finished 2019-20 down in fifth in the Serie A standings, just one point away from Juventus, who ranked in the fourth place, which qualified the Old lady club for the most glorious European cups.
Napoli had to settle for a Europa League spot after a 1-1 draw at home against Hellas Verona, while Juventus qualified for the Champions League on the final day of the season on Sunday with a 4-1 win at Bologna.
The Napoli chairman took to social media to bid Gattuso farewell, thanking him for his work at the club over the past two years. “Dear Rino, I am happy to have spent almost two seasons with you," De Laurentiis wrote on Twitter. "Thank you for your work and I wish you success wherever you go."
