Guardiola dreams of joining the European elite legendary list from the Bayern gate

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola is looking forward to breaking a historic record when his team faces Bayern Munich in the second leg of the quarter-finals at Allianz Arena on Wednesday. The Citizens secured last week a commanding 3-0 first-leg triumph over their Bavarian counterparts at the Etihad Stadium last week courtesy of goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Braut Haaland. In the event of City's victory against Bayern on Wednesday, Guardiola will become the third coach in the history of the Champions League to achieve 100 victories in the competition. The 52-year-old is about to join Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti (105 wins) and former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson (102 wins). Pep will reach 100 wins, after only 158 games, to be the fastest coach to achieve it in history.
