Real Madrid further enhances record in the semi- European League

Real Madrid further enhanced their record in the semi-finals of the European Cup after edging out Chelsea over two legs in the semi-finals of the Champions League competition.  Real Madrid repeated its victory over Chelsea, 2-0 at “Stamford Bridge” on Tuesday to qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League competition. According to Opta, Real Madrid will play the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the 16th season, at least four times more than its closest competitors (Bayern Munich and Barcelona, 12 each).
Real Madrid will play in the semi-finals with the winner of the Manchester City and Bayern Munich match scheduled for Wednesday. Manchester City beat Bayern 3-0 in the first leg and is in the driving seat for a semifinal spot.
