Benzema  becomes the third-highest Madridista appearance-maker in the UEFA 

French star and Real Madrid's talisman Karim Benzema reached a distinguished record after shown up in the English Premier League match against Chelsea in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final 2022-2023. Benzema nets against Chelsea as he becomes the third-highest madridista appearance-maker in the Champions League with Real Madrid since his arrival in the summer of 2009 from Lyon, France. Benzema is equal to the former star of the Madridista, as Raul Gonzalez with 130 matches, behind Iker Casillas, with 150 matches. Sergio Ramos comes in third with 129 matches, then Roberto Carlos with 107 matches Real Madrid faced Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-finals, following the draw conducted at UEFA headquarters in Nyon.  The first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals was held at the Santiago Bernabéu on 12 April and the return will take place at Stamford Bridge Chelsea's stronghold on 18 April. 
The winner of the Real Madrid and Chelsea game will face either Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the semi-final.
