Lampard:” Is Real Madrid favourites? ..Nothing better than proving people wrong”!

Frank Lampard had told his Chelsea players to prove people wrong by knocking Real Madrid out of the Champions League. Chelsea caretaker manager Frank Lampard says it is a "huge honour" to lead the club into the Champions League quarter-finals - less than a week after taking on the role. Chelsea host Real Madrid in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, where the winner of that match qualifies for the semi-finals, to face the finalist from the Manchester City summit against Bayern Munich, which will bring them together in the quarter-finals. Frank Lampard faced the media ahead of Chelsea's quarter-final first leg match against Real Madrid as the Blues legends takes just his second match in charge following his return. Speaking at the press conference, Frank Lampard replied when asked if he could agree that Real be the most favourites: "There's pressure on both teams due to the size of both clubs. Are Real Madrid favourites? Yes. [But] there's no better carrot in football than trying to prove people wrong. “It’s one of the best things I’ve been part of. I think that is a nice challenge for us. I’m not worried about that. In terms of the pressure I am not worried about that. Football at this level is pressure. If you can’t handle the pressure you are not a big club, you are not a big player or a participant in it. “We have to understand the strengths of the Real Madrid team, their qualities in possession and their individual talent. We have to be very disciplined in our game off the ball, understand the threats.
