Official: Pekerman quits being the coach of Venezuela!

The Venezuelan Football Federation assured that the contract with the Argentinian Jose Pekerman ended in a “friendly” way while highlighting the commitment of the former coach of the Vinotinto team and his work team to the development of the national team.
“The FVF announces that the contractual relationship signed with Mr. José Néstor Pekerman and his work team has ended amicably thus corroborating the professionalism and commitment signed between the parties with Venezuelan football,” the organization states in a statement. The FVF, which on March 8 announced the termination of the contract it had with the Argentine, assured that managed to resolve differences and put an end to speculation about his departure. José Pekerman with Bocha Batista, current DT of Vinotinto. “In the course of the conversations that have followed the termination of this contractual relationship, both parties have managed to resolve any previous differences and have paved, through frank dialogue, the path to this agreement based on mutual respect, thus putting an end to any other speculation”, says the letter. The organization recognized Pekerman’s career and described his time with the Venezuelan team as an “honor”. “Both parties recognize the honor and the effort made during the last year to try to harmonize the working methods and the expectations of each one in the development of the joint project for the transformation of Venezuelan football”, adds the FVF.
Led by its new coach, Venezuela recorded its first victory in a friendly game over The Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia 1-2 last week.
