Haaland injury in danger ahead of crunch EPL showdown with Liverpool

The Norwegian star and Manchester City super striker Erling Haaland has been forced to pull out of the Norway squad due to injury, as he also faces the danger of missing out on his counterpart Liverpool in the English Premier League, after the end of the international break. The Premier League’s leading scorer sustained a groin problem after scoring a hat-trick in City’s 6-0 win over Burnley at the weekend. Haaland was withdrawn after bagging a treble against Vincent Kompany’s Championship leaders in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Haaland was ruled out on Tuesday from the Norwegian national team camp due to a muscle injury, to confirm his absence from Spain and Georgia encounters in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The English newspaper “The Times” reported that there are doubts about Haaland’s readiness to face Liverpool in the Premier League. The newspaper added that although it was confirmed that the City star's injury was not serious, it was not confirmed whether he would be ready to face Liverpool.
