Haaland Inches Closer to Breaking Mohamed Salah’s All-Time Record

Haaland thus reached his No. 42 goal with Manchester City, in various competitions in the current season 2022/23, just two goals away from equaling the number of Mohamed Salah and Van Nistelrooy, as the most goals-scoring player with an English team in various competitions in one season. Van Nistelrooy had scored 44 goals in the 2002/03 season, while Mohamed Salah scored the same number of goals in the 2017/18 season. Halland is the sixth player in the history of the English Premier League to score 40 goals or more in various competitions in one season, after Van Nistelrooy 44, Mohamed Salah 44, Cristiano Ronaldo 42, Ashley Cole 41 and Harry Kane 41. With this result, Manchester City decides to qualify. Officially to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
