Referee named for El Clasico between Barcelona vs. Real Madrid in La Liga

The Spanish Football Federation has appointed referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea as the man in charge of Sunday’s match between Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga, a decisive El Clasico in the race for the title, which will be held next Sunday evening, in the 26th round of the Spanish League. After the 25th week of La Liga, Barcelona, which had 65 points, was followed by Real Madrid with 56 points, Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad placed 3rd and 4th, both 20 points behind Barca. Barcelona outperformed Real Madrid on the last two occasions, the first of which was its victory in the Spanish Super Cup with three goals to one, before confirming its superiority in the King’s Cup. The goal of the match came through friendly fire, after Brazilian Eder Militao, Real Madrid player, accidentally scored Barcelona’s goal in the 26th minute.
