Will Cristiano Ronaldo play for Portugal at the next World Cup?

Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal career isn't over just yet, with new boss Roberto Martinez set to include him for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers. The latest reports revealed that new coach Roberto Martinez will call up the legendary striker for Portugal's European qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.Ronaldo has scored a world record 118 goals since making his Portugal debut in 2003. He is also the joint all-time leading appearance maker in men's international football having played 196 games.
Ronaldo equals FIFA record for men's international caps with 196th appearance matching Kuwait's Badr Al-Mutawa, as Portugal star comes off the bench again to face Morocco. He was benched for Portugal's World Cup Round of 16 matches against Switzerland, where Goncalo Ramos replaced the veteran up front, and Ramos scored a stunning hat-trick against Switzerland. Portugal were eventually eliminated in the quarter-finals by Morocco, and Fernando Santos' time in charge came to an end with this defeat.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who was a free agent during the World Cup, has since joined Saudi club Al-Nasr, scoring eight goals and providing assists in nine matches for the Saudi club. Despite not playing in Europe anymore, Ronaldo is still the record goalscorer of the UEFA Champions League. He scored 140 goals in the Champions League.
