Manchester United plans to sign Kane in this case

English press reports revealed the possibility of Harry Kane, the star of Tottenham, joining the ranks of Manchester United, during the next summer transfer market. MANCHESTER UNITED believes they will land Harry Kane this summer — if Tottenham finishes outside the top four. Old Trafford chiefs reckon Spurs missing out on a Champions League place will see them lower their £100million asking price. United has made contact with Kane’s camp through a third party and has been encouraged by the response.
Kane turns 30 in July — and has achieved his ambition of becoming Spurs’ all-time top scorer. While United was hammered 7-0 at Anfield on Sunday, there is still a belief that Kane has a better chance of finally winning a trophy at Old Trafford than at Tottenham.
The England captain’s £200,000-a-week deal is up at the end of next season and failing to make the Champions League puts suitors in a better position to negotiate a lower fee.
The newspaper pointed out that Harry Kane is the first goal of the United administration, order to strengthen the team's offensive line in the next season, and the failure of Spurs to qualify for the Champions League will be a great motivation for the Red Devils to decide his inclusion, especially since the player is also wanted by Bayern Munich.
