Will Real Madrid still be willing to sign Milan striker , Leao?

La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Italy's leading source of sports news and most-read daily newspaper in Italy reported that Jorge Mendes, the agent of Portuguese and Milan striker Rafael Liao, has offered the player to Real Madrid, but the Royal was not ready to make a big financial offer for the Portuguese international winger.
Liao's contract at San Siro expires in June 2024, but negotiations on a new deal have not led to anything new with the Rossoneri so far. According to the Italian newspaper, Mendes offered the Portuguese striker to Real Madrid last month, but the La Liga giants are not ready to make a big financial offer for the 23-year-old, given that they already have a great player in the left wing, Vinicius Junior.
The Italy newspaper claims that Mendes contacted Real Madrid managers in February, but negotiations did not proceed. The Portuguese agent is still among the player's representatives even after the striker's family signed a contract with lawyer Ted Dimvola who recently spoke on behalf of Leao and confirmed that his client wants to stay at San Siro.
However, there are no signs that the 23-year-old will sign a new contract anytime soon, and Chelsea and Manchester City are still monitoring. Liao was suspended for one match against Fiorentina on Saturday and will return against Tottenham in the Champions League on March 8.
