Messi reaches his 1000th goal contribution at the club level

Argentine star Lionel Messi succeeded in Paris Saint-Germain's first goal against Nantes, in the first half, which ended in a positive draw with two goals for each team, in the French League competition. Lionel Messi has now been directly involved in 1,000 goals during his club career. Messi scored the 701st club goal of his illustrious career as Paris Saint-Germain beat Nantes 4-2 on Saturday night. The 35-year-old has also assisted 299 goals across Spain's La Liga and France's Ligue 1. Messi's 1,000 goal contributions have come in 841 league appearances. He has therefore averaged 1.19 goals or assists per game throughout his club career. It was the 799th goal of his career in all competitions. Paris Saint-Germain leads the French Premier League standings with 60 points, while Nantes ranks 13th in the standings table with 28 points.
