Busquets  to buck history in the showdown El Clasico record in Spanish Supercopa clash 

Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets will be on a date with a historic record in El Clasico clash against traditional rivals Real Madrid, during the first leg of the King’s Cup semi-final match on Thursday, at “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium. An appearance for Busquets in El Clasico brings him on to his 46th  El Clasico appearance for Barcelona against Real Madrid stretching all the way to become the player with the most appearance in the history of Barcelona and Real Madrid, overtaking both Argentine star Lionel Messi and veteran defender Sergio Ramos During 45 matches against the royal team, the Barça captain won 21 matches, compared to 16 defeats and 8 draws, he did not score any goals and provided a single assist.
Busquets' contract with Barcelona will expire next summer, and the two parties have not yet reached an agreement to renew the contract.
