Manchester City plans to extend Walker’s contract

UK press reports revealed that Manchester City is reportedly keen to extend Kyle Walker's stay at the Etihad Stadium for a longer period. According to Football Insider, Walker is happy with life at Manchester City, although there is growing competition for his position with Rico Lewis. Nevertheless, Football Insider revealed that City has ambitions to keep Walker at the club past the end of next season. The report suggests that Walker remains happy with life at City, despite finding increasing competition for places from Rico Lewis.
Reports show that talks with Walker and Manchester City are at an advanced stage, however, formal discussions will not take place even in the summer. Walker joined Manchester City 5 years ago from Tottenham Hotspur for 52 million euros.
After five more seasons at Tottenham, Walker joined Manchester City for a fee of €52 million.
