French Football Federation President Le Graët resigns

Press reports revealed that French Football Federation (FFF) President Noël Le Graët has stepped down following an emergency meeting in Paris on Tuesday. Radio Monte Carlo, the French-speaking station, indicated that Le Graët has already submitted his resignation on the sidelines of the Executive Committee of the Federation.
French Football Federation (FFF) President Noël Le Graët leaves the presidency of the federation, for which he assumed responsibility in 2011. In an interview with radio station RMC on Sunday, the 81-year-old said he “wouldn’t even have taken his call” when asked whether Zidane, a World Cup winner, and an all-time France great, had called him to express an interest in taking over as national coach from Didier Deschamps.
Le Graët was also convicted of sexual harassment against the players’ agent, Sonia Sweed, in addition to financial corruption.
