The Spanish Real Madrid - Los Blancos- is the top player’s goal scorer so far this season after they achieved a remarkable goalscoring record in the various tournaments in which he participated during this season. Diario AS, the Spanish daily sports newspaper that concentrates particularly on football reported that Real Madrid has four players with 10 or more goals this season (Benzema and Vinicius have 18, Valverde has 12, Rodrigo has 10), which has not happened since the 2017-2018 season. The newspaper added that the Royal club has already scored 86 goals so far in the 2022-23 season; 46 goals in the Spanish League, and 40 goals in other competitions, with an average of 2.3 goals per match. Diario AS newspaper indicated that they are similar numbers to last year’s record, which is higher than that because in 2021-22 Madrid scored 2.1 goals per game (they scored 119 goals in 56 games), in addition to that, diversity in the distribution of scoring tasks that we have not seen since the era of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
