Mohamed Salah makes history for Liverpool, equals Didier Drogba's record in "the Champions"

Mohamed Salah has broken two Champions League records and equaled another after contributing to both of Liverpool's goals in a 5-2 home defeat against Real Madrid in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday. He scored the second goal for his English team, Liverpool, during its match against its Spanish guest, Real Madrid, in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, which ended with the defending champion winning 5-2, thanks to a double by Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema.
Salah was then gifted a glorious chance by Courtois when the Real Madrid goalkeeper mis-controlled a backpass with his knee, allowing Liverpool's No.11 to make the net ripple with a side-footed effort in the 14th minute. Salah scored his 44th goal in the continental championship, equaling the record of Drogba, the legendary star of Chelsea. He also broke Liverpool legend Stephen Gerrard's record after scoring his 42nd goal for the English team in the Champions League, compared to Gerrard's 41 goals.
Salah also topped the list of top scorers in the current season of the Champions League, with 8 goals, ahead of Kylian Mbappe, the top scorer of Paris Saint-Germain, with a single goal.
